Vintage Style-T sets
Features- staggered or flat profile alnico 3 or 5 pole magnets, black fiberboard flatwork, cloth pushack vintage leads, Formvar magnet wire (plain enamel available +$5 per pickup), wax potted.
This "vintage style" pair is made for optimum tele tone. The bridge is wound 7k ohms(+/-.2k) and renders a great balance of spank and crank. The neck is a touch hotter @ 7.4k ohms(+/- .2k) and brings a full frequency range to the table. Again, a great balance. We reverse wind the neck pickup so you get hum-canceling when using the pickups together. Choose "same as bridge" if you would like both pickups to be the same polarity. VS-T3 set...a more pronounced "sweet" midrange is a trademark of our alnico 3 magnets. One thing we really like about the VS-T3 set is the middle position, which is very vocal and doesn't dissapear when both pickups are on. Fatter single notes and chords are also qualites you get with this set. (watch the video)
VS-T5 set... ultra twang is what you get with alnico 5 magnets. Stringy chords, double stops, and single notes that come alive the second you start to play. Combine alnico 5 magnets with our handwound bridge or neck and you get transparent tone that lets your guitars voice stand out. (watch the video)
VS-T3+ and VS-T5+ sets....take all of the attributes of either VS-T set and add 10% more winds that will bring more output to the front of your amp. Your amp will love it.
5/3 alnico magnets... We also offer an alnico 5/3 magnet option. 5's on the bass strings keeps them lively with plenty of jangle, and 3's on the treble strings tames the treble and adds that distinctive snap with body.
Our Telecaster replacement sets come standard with a staggered magnet profile. We also offer a flat profile which is optional upon request. The staggered profile aligns better with vintage radius necks that are 7.25" and up to 9.5". Flat also works well with the 9.5" and up to the flattest fretboards.
